Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata will miss Saturday's trip to Everton after he was booked while he celebrated his winning goal in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat of Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup.

"Despite him being only 17 years old he keeps his feet on the ground and I'm sure he won't lose his head", Conte said. "We have to accept the decision and try, at the same time in the future, to pay great attention". "We were also a bit unlucky when we hit the bar and there were a few situations in the box, but that's football".

Antonio Conte has called for reinforcements in the January transfer window, to ensure Chelsea's recent progress remains on track.

"It was important because to go and to play 30 minutes more, I think it was a bit risky", Conte said.

"A hard period is starting, especially for every club, for every coach".

"We must be ready to face them while, at the same time, be ready to be focused and go game by game". I think the best way for me is not to read [anything] and only talk with the club, and then to try to improve our squad if this is possible. "We play every three days, so it's not right that these rumours disturb us".

"He deserved to play tonight, he deserved to play against Everton, he deserved to play his first league game against Huddersfield".

"The most important thing is we are in the semi-finals, looking on the bright side". There would be no better manager out there for me than Brendan Rodgers.

"They are in a good moment of form".
