Winter is Here, Steam Winter Sale is Live

The company also kicked off the start of voting for the second annual Steam Awards.

Steam now offers "Dark Souls III" in a head-turning discount of 75 percent.

The GOG store's Winter Sale from last week is still going strong, and since then, the store has added even more items to its GOG Connect page for claiming DRM-free versions of Steam games.

In addition, some of the winners of the Video Game Awards 2017 are also on sale for PC, so now is the ideal time to catch up on the best that 2017 had to offer.

If you're not interested in game + controller bundles, the Steam Winter Sale covers a bunch of other titles with some big discounts. These include the Season Pass that allows players to access a number of post-launch downloadable contents for only $38.24, a 55 percent discount. There's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice for $22.49, Metal Gear Solid V for $16, GTA V for $24, Middle Earth: Shadow of War for $42, Rocket League for $12, Hollow Knight for $10, Witcher 3 for $15, and so much more.

Other big titles such as Bethesda's "The Evil Within 2" and "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus".

In addition to gaming, the Steam Winter Sale will also include some hardware deals. Each vote will earn individuals a Steam trading card, regardless of their vote, and when the complete card set is collected, they can be used to craft event-exclusive Steam emotes, badges, and profile background. The sale will go until January 4 at 1 PM EST with prices changing periodically.

Gamers have more or less two weeks to get their hands on thousands of discounted titles.
