Amazon, Bharti Airtel join hands to offer Amazon Prime services


Airtel says its V-Fiber broadband customers are also eligible for the Amazon Prime membership benefits.

The free Amazon Prime membership offer is only available for Airtel postpaid users using Infinity plans that ranges from Rs 499, Rs 799 and Rs 1,199. This tie is going to work best for all the Airtel users for sure.

If you are not an existing Amazon member, you would need to register against your phone number and password. An Airtel representative told Gadgets 360 that the partnership between the telecom giant and the e-commerce titan is till December this year. For those who are not aware, the subscription comes with free delivery, access to streaming, early access to deals in sales as well as exclusive deals. It offers content in 15 languages through the application. The offer for one year of Amazon Prime is activated exclusively through the Airtel TV app. Access to Prime Video is available after downloading the Prime Video app on supported devices, to begin streaming a broad selection of the latest and exclusive movies, TV shows, stand-up comedies, kids' programming and Amazon Prime Originals, it said.

Amazon is offering a Prime Subscription for Rs. 999 per year.

If you fit the criteria for free Amazon Prime membership, availing the offer is quite simple.

If you upgrade to the Rs 499 or above Infinity plan for this offer, the process remains pretty much the same for as well. Open the Airtel TV app and click on the special Airtel-Amazon digital card (this will be visible only to eligible Airtel customers). "This exclusive offer enables us to reach Airtel's significant customer base across the country, providing entertainment - anytime, anywhere on a reliable service, with great playback quality and low data usage".

Users who are eligible will also be required to download the free Airtel TV app from either the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store.
