Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois set to commit long-term futures to Chelsea

Eden Hazard told a fan that he will "never leave Chelsea" during Thursday night's NBA London game between Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers.

According to the Mirror's Jack Rathborn, the Belgian was asked if he would pen a new deal at Stamford Bridge and replied: "Yes".

The Belgium worldwide has once again been one of the Blues' standout performers so far this campaign, scoring nine goals and contributing four assists in all competitions. "Then I will sign", he added.

The Belgian has only scored five goals in the Premier League this season as Chelsea struggle to keep pace with runaway leaders Manchester City.

There has been constant speculation over his future and it seemed as though the Blues star could be off to Real Madrid, and would not be signing a new deal with Chelsea, let alone seeing out his current one, but that does not seem to be the case.

"When you miss them, you are sometimes wondering: 'Shouldn't I play in Spain in the next few years?' That's why I want to take my time to make a decision on that contract extension".

"It is not always easy, but I'd also seen this coming", Courtois said of his a personal situation while speaking on Belgian television show Stadion on VTM.

On the other hand, Thibaut Courtois has only a year left on his Chelsea contract and is expected to renew it soon.

"Do Eden and I encourage each other to sign? Yes". Courtois and Hazard's long-term future remains at Chelsea, even though the duo have previously admitted, in one way or another, that they would like to move to Real Madrid. "And in Chelsea, people always said that I'm leaving, but I'm still here".
