Five killed in Bengaluru bar fire


Out of the five killed, one is a woman.

At least five people died after a fire broke out early morning at a bar in Bengaluru's Kalasipalyam area early morning today.

Those killed in the accident have been identified as Swami (23), Prasad (20), Manjunath (45), Keerthi (24) and Mahesh (35).

The five people who died were the workers or employees who were sleeping inside the restaurant.

"Though the cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated, a short circuit appears to have set the blaze", said Anucheth. The fire department sent two fire tenders and a rescue vehicle after the blaze was reported. Their bodies were taken to Victoria Hospital for autopsy, NDTV reported.

According to current reports, concerned authorities are at the incident site trying to find the reason behind the fire that gutted Kailash bar.

The incident comes after a fire broke out on the first floor of Shiv Shakti Industrial building in Mumbai's Lower parel area on Sunday.
