Krantz will work with special teams and linebackers.

Lattimore was expected to take a position Muschamp's staff at USC two years ago. "I've kept in contact with so many people around the university - in particular coach Muschamp". The first year of the deal will net him $4.2 million, and Muschamp will earn an additional $200,000 each season before peaking at $5.2 million in 2023.

Muschamp, who has been coaching in the SEC since 2011, was on a one-year stint as the defensive coordinator for the Auburn Tigers in 2015.

Krantz is married to the former Brittany Hauck.

Additionally, Muschamp's assistants and the Gamecocks' strength and conditioning coach have received extensions and pay raises, salaries pooling $5.1 million. After one of the most decorated careers in SC high school football history, the Duncan, S.C., native burst onto the scene in 2010 when he rushed for 1,197 yards, leading the Gamecocks to their first SEC Eastern Division title and earning SEC Freshman of the Year accolades.

Lattimore spent 2017 as the head varsity coach at Heathwood Hall in Columbia. His career was slowed by a catastrophic injury he sustained to his left knee which massively hurt his draft stock.

"No one will relate to our players about dealing with success and facing adversity more than Marcus".

Despite suffering two major knee injuries, Lattimore was selected in the fourth-round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Lattimore set the school mark with 38 rushing touchdowns in his three seasons as tailback.

He is married to the former Miranda Bailey.
