Jaguars hope run game must regains footing against Steelers

Pittsburgh lost only once after that, at home to the Patriots in a game that decided the AFC's top seed.

The Steelers are healthy, rested, and should take care of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. This Steelers team has dropped one game by three points since that loss and even that was a Roethlisberger screw up.

While a huge day from Brown or an ugly day from Bortles would certainly swing this game, odds are the team that finds success running the ball on a frigid day will win.

"You get paid to play the regular season; this is for free". During that span, Roethlisberger was a top-five fantasy quarterback, with three separate 30-plus point performances against Tennessee, Green Bay, and Baltimore.

"We got a little behind the 8-ball when we played them the first time", Bell said Wednesday. "Should Pittsburgh win, which that won't happen, the Council president and I will serve at City Rescue Mission". The game he had against Jacksonville earlier this season was a fluke for the talented quarterback.

Blake Bortles sucks. It's a sentiment shared by fans, opposing players, TV's smartest show and Twitter's best follow.

Hargrave, PFF's 48th rated interior lineman, had his best game of the season against the Jaguars (Week 5), compiling 10 tackles in the game. Using him frequently would help Pittsburgh negate a powerful pass rush led by defensive player of the year candidate Calais Campbell, as well as limit its turnover liability against Pro Bowl cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye. Alualu, who made five starts this year, has had one of the best seasons of his career in his inaugural season with the Steelers.

Now the Jaguars have a chance to replicate this result with their second win in Pittsburgh on the season. Jacksonville does not have a cadre of reliable pass-catchers, and this aerial attack has looked terrible in the past two weeks - with a 15-for-34, two-interception Bortles day against the Titans (albeit in a meaningless game for the Jags) preceding the Bill debacle. He ran for just 47 yards on 15 carries in the first game and complained about his usage after the game, saying the coaching staff abandoned the run too early. This has plagued the Steeler D all year and couldn't be more evident than when Leonard Fournette ran for 181 yards including a 90 yard explosion on a power run play to seal the game late in the fourth quarter. The Steelers showed exactly how much respect they had for both the Browns and the Jets by suiting up their JV squad. Rogers caught seven passes in his last playoff game a year ago, and Roethlisberger could lean heavily on him Sunday. One thing is for certain, the Jaguars are not an offensive juggernaut and this is one of those areas we tend to scrutinize when facing a quarterback we know will take advantage of it (Tom Brady) rather than one who won't (Blake Bortles).

But Jacksonville might want to play a better overall game on offense if it really wants to extend the season. It was an ugly game that he blew off due to the wind in Jacksonville.

The No. 4 pick has averaged more than four yards per carry just once in his past eight games, including a 21-carry, 57-yard outing against Buffalo.

If the Steelers' defense can pressure him, Bortles will continue to struggle and it will likely cost his team the game.
