New Mario Tennis Game For Nintendo Switch Confirmed

Nintendo announced several new titles for the Switch this morning during a Nintendo Direct Mini.

It was confirmed that Mario will be returning to the tennis court in spring with Mario Tennis Aces. There's going to be a story mode and various tennis-based missions, which makes this a little different from the usual Mario Tennis offering.

The game features full touch screen menu support, and a newly developed rumble feature that responds as players fire weapons or throw grenades.

If you like Fire Emblem: Warriors you'll love Hyrule Warriors.

Mario Tennis Aces is bringing Mario and tennis to the Nintendo Switch, with the first story mode since the Mario Tennis on Game Boy Advance! Updated versions of Dark Souls, The World Ends with You and Hyrule Warriors - among other games - are headed to the hybrid portable console. The game will have local co-op and Breath of the Wild character costumes for Link and Zelda. By hiding and finding balloons, you'll gain ranks on a leaderboard.

"Super Mario Odyssey", for instance, is getting a new minigame called "Balloon World". New outfits will also be included such as Sunshine Shades and knights armor. SNK heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a spiritual successor to SNK Gals' Fighters and once again sees the company celebrate its most popular female characters. PayDay 2 will launch on Switch on February 27, 2018. It will be interesting to see if Nintendo is able to tap back into the magic featured in the earlier games, because if they do then this long-running series will finally be back on the right track. Aegislash will come in Wave 1 in January while Blastoise will arrive in March for Wave 2.

Donkey Kong is making his debut on the Nintendo Switch in a port of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Speaking of Mario, there's a free update coming to Odyssey in February.
