Parineeti responded to KJo's tweet with one of her own. Little did Karan Johar think that a simple announcement of Kesari's lead actress would land him in trouble. Clearly Twitter is quick to jump and attack!
This is the actress's second film with Johar's Dharma Productions after Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), which also starred Sidharth Malhotra and Adah Sharma.
News was out last year in October that the film had been shelved, but it looks like the film will continue with its release slated next year in March. After being a part of one of 2017's biggest hits "Golmaal Again", she has now been roped in to for Akshay Kumar starrer "Kesari". "Thankyouuu @karanjohar @akshaykumar @DharmaMovies #AnuragSingh #Kesari", Parineeti tweeted.

For the unversed, Salman Khan was initially a part of the film as a co-producer. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion.
The Battle of Saragarhi was fought before the Tirah Campaign on September 12, 1897 between Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen. The film managed to collect more than Rs. 200 at the box office and also starred Tabu, Ajay Devgn, Kunal Kemmu, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor.
The shooting of the Anurag Singh directorial began last week.
