'Play our best:' Brady brushes off controversy, focuses on Titans

The WPRI Eyewitness News team is hoping to taste sweet victory again as the New England Patriots take on the Tennessee Titans at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night. Orakpo is no Von Miller, but he needs to look to disrupt the Patriots legend like Miller did a few years back on the Broncos' Super Bowl run. Based on the injury report, all Patriots players are available to play against the Titans as no player was mentioned in the "out" and "doubtful" portions of the report.

Derrick Henry was not at all pleased by his performance in the season finale versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Titans' running game sputtered throughout much of the 2017 season, but they may have found a recipe for success in Saturday's win over the Chiefs. Their loss to New England, 27-24, a close one, one of the league's most competitive games this season that went down to the final seconds in Week 15, ended with a major calf injury to their receiver Antonio Brown, one of the league's best, sidelining him for the remainder of the regular season.

Let's hold our horses here.

Quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, as well as others, were forced to answer questions all week after ESPN reported that there was turmoil atop the organisation. In fact, there are many Titans fans that are not sure he will ever be a great quarterback.

Devin McCourty (left) and the rest of the Patriots defense will have their hands full Saturday night against Titans dual-threat QB Marcus Mariota. "We all want to win for him, and we all want to play hard for him". They've played under pressure.

No catchy line for this point.

The Titans enter the game as big underdogs against one of football's established superpowers.

"Whoever does that better is going to win the game over the course of 60 minutes", he said. There can not be any slipups this week versus the Patriots. "He's broken off a lot of long runs, running plays, screens". If the Titans lose, WKRN has offered to send classic "Tennessee Hot Chicken". In the end, Tennessee was able to take out the once AFC-leading Chiefs and force them to stay home. "It's a very unique skill because a lot of guys, once they get scrambling, they're not even looking downfield anymore". The guy that has to be a huge factor in this one is defensive lineman Jurrell Casey.

"That was a tough throw, and that was in the pocket", he noted. They've had a good year and they've got a good team, so we're going to have to be at our best.

The veteran pass rusher did not have the season he wanted to this year, only getting seven sacks on the season.

"They've basically won two playoff games - one to get into the playoffs and a playoff game last week". Taylor Lewan and company will need to keep an eye on Harrison to ensure he does not make any key plays that could hurt the Titans chances of winning. Ryan was acquired by the Titans this offseason and has been a great help for the Titans secondary. However, in this game, he needs to be not only solid on the field but solid in what information he can provide for his team. "Obviously you put New England in there because they're always in the mix but on the NFC side you have Atlanta [Falcons], you have New Orleans [Saints], you have the Minnesota Vikings". Survive and advance or fall to the champs?
