Serge Ibaka, James Johnson suspended for throwing punches

Ibaka has been ejected from games five times in his career.

After a solid season with the Heat past year, Ellington is having his best season in 2017-18 and on Tuesday night, he helped the Heat improve to 23-17 with his game-winning basket. And with the NBA's best winning percentage - a 33-8 record heading into Wednesday night's game against the L.A. Clippers - the Warriors are not showing any signs of slowing down.

Entering Tuesday's game against the Raptors, Ellington has connected on a team-high 113 threes, 14 more than any other bench player in the league, and the sixth-most overall.

Problem is, the Raptors are not expected to send their best unit onto the floor, so using the upcoming games as a litmus test for their own progress will be hard. Ibaka is likely to be replaced by Pascal Siakam, and Toronto could also be without injured point guard Kyle Lowry, who is being examined daily to see if he's over a bruised tailbone and back spasms suffered Monday night in Brooklyn. It is not known how long Lowry will be out.

The NBA has handed down its punishment to Serge Ibaka of the Toronto Raptors and James Johnson of the Miami Heat for their fight during the third quarter of Tuesday's game at the Air Canada Centre.

Also, Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan was fined $25,000 and Miami guard Goran Dragic was docked $10,000 for a verbal altercation shortly after the game concluded.

Ellington has been fantastic for the Heat this season and leads the team in three-point shooting, making 41 percent of his attempts. Last season, Toronto finished 22nd with an average of 24.3.

That said, the Cleveland Cavaliers are kind of a mess right now. "They've got a lot of young guys who are playing well". "They're athletic. They have great team speed".

While Cook went on to win the 2009 National Basketball Association three-point contest (the third of four Heat players to win the crown), Ellington, now playing for his seventh National Basketball Association team in his 10th season, has never had a chance to participate in the league's premier All-Star shooting competition.
