He has knockouts against Mark Hunt, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum (for the title), Alistair Overeem (first defense) and Junior dos Santos (second defense). Cormier lost the title in his last bout against Jon Jones, but the fight was ruled a no-contest when Jones failed a drug test. Oezdemir earned the title bout with a knockout of Jimi Manuwa at UFC 214.
