Gerrard: This Liverpool attack is better than the Suarez-led trio

Porto's high-scoring attack will likely be missing its biggest weapon for the match against Liverpool in the last 16 of the Champions League. "Luckily I got three goals today and [I'm] happy".

Jordan Henderson believes the reason little has been made of Liverpool's loss of Philippe Coutinho is that they still have the enormous trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino starring in attack. Even more impressive, Liverpool looked like they need not even go through all the gears as they put proceedings out of reach, making the second-leg at Anfield a mere requirement. The first one was a little bit lucky, but then the other two were being in the right place, the second one, and using your fantastic skills for the last one.

Asked if Liverpool had completed the ideal job, Klopp, who will lead his squad on a warm-weather training trip to Marbella today, said: "Yes". Then it will come if you keep working really hard like he did.

"Sadio had his comeback tonight, and Roberto was there again after outstanding work-rate again, so it was good".

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are a better attacking unit than Liverpool's Luis Suarez-inspired class of 2014, says Steven Gerrard.

Despite the result on Wednesday night, Klopp stressed how he does not think Liverpool's participation in the quarterfinals is guaranteed.

Asked by BT Sport if the performance was ideal, he replied: "You can say that".

Ronaldo put Real in front in the 83rd minute with a scrappy strike from close range and Brazilian left back Marcelo further stretched the lead in the 86th, giving PSG a tough task in the second leg at the Parc des Princes on March 6. We owe our supporters at Anfield a 100 percent performance and that's what we want to deliver.

Liverpool enjoyed themselves in the pouring rain of Porto as Jurgen Klopp's men scored five away goals against their Portguese counterparts.

"We still have a lot of quality players like Salah, Mane and Firmino, who create chances", he said.

Klopp's opposite number Sergio Conceicao said that Porto had the game under control until Mane broke the deadlock in the 25th minute. Let us know your predictions in the comment section below.
