The company has silently announced the availability of the 4GB + 64GB variant of Nokia 6 in India. The 3GB RAM variant was launched at a price of Rs. 14,999. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 16,999 - 2,000 rupees more than the 3GB variant.
Notably, this is a new variant of last year's smartphone and should not be confused with the Nokia 6 (2018), which comes with a Snapdragon 630 SoC, and was launched by the Finnish company in January this year.
Also, apart from the higher RAM and storage, all other specifications for the new variant are the same as the previous model.
Nokia 6 With 4GB RAM Launched in India at ₹16999
The Nokia 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and is now available in two variants as mentioned above. Those having an old smartphone can exchange it and get extra ₹2000 on an exchange of their old phone.
Coming to the optics, the Nokia 6 features a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and an f/2.0 aperture. Additionally, it comes with 64GB (32GB in the cheaper variant) of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot (of up to 256GB).
To recall, the Nokia 6 features a metal unibody design with a glossy finish. It also features a front-mounted fingerprint scanner under the display and dual audio speaks with Dolby Atmos audio. The Nokia 6 (2017) houses a 3,000mAh battery and the connectivity options offered by the handset include 4G VoLTE connectivity, micro-USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, FM, and GPS/AGPS+GLONASS+BDS. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display with Gorrila Glass 3 on top and runs on a near 100 percent stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat (with an update to Android 8.0 Oreo on the way) devoid of unneeded bloat and overlays.
