AMBER Alert issued for toddler missing from El Paso County


An Amber Alert has been issued for a 2-year old boy in Colorado Springs.

Nain Dominguez is a Hispanic boy with black hair and brown eyes who was last seen wearing a green sweathshirt and gray sweatpants and no shoes. An extensive search for the boy then took place overnight.

UPDATE: The Amber Alert for two-year-old Nain Dominguez has been canceled. A few hours later authorities said he died. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the El Paso County Sheriff's Office at 719-390-5555.

The sheriff's office couldn't say when an autopsy might be scheduled.

A family member confirmed the death of the child, who was found around 7:30 a.m. and hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to a Denver7 report.

Officials did not provide additional details about Nain's condition or where or when he was found.

Investigators with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are still working to determine the circumstances around the boy's disappearance, according to a spokesperson.
