A father was not happy after his 10-year-old son was kicked off the school bus for three days for being a bully.
Bryan Thornill made a video from inside his auto of his son running outside in the rain.
Thornhill's video got mixed reviews online, with some applauding his efforts to teach his son a lesson, and others accusing him of mistreating the boy. "He hasn't gotten in trouble this week, where last week, he was just absolutely out of his mind", Thornhill said. "We're right about one mile from the school so all week he's got the experience of running".
"This ain't killing nobody, this is a healthy way for a child to be punished, because it's exercise."
The video has been viewed more than 1.6 million times so far with many agreeing with how he handled the situation.
"This right here is called parenting", the father, 33, advised viewers.
"Welcome to 'you better listen to your dad 2018, '" said Thornhill in a video posted to Facebook that he has since removed.
According to the father, he has observed that such punishment managed to "improve his child's behavior" while 'teachers have approved of his behavior this week'. "Keep up the good work!" one commenter wrote.
"Tell everybody you're gonna behave now", Thornhill said.
"Teach your kids", Thornhill, who filmed the runs from inside his truck, said.
"It gives the child very limited opportunity to learn and acquire new skills - i.e. ways to interact in more positive and social ways with their peers". "If you got your panties in a knot over watching a kid jog I feel sorry for you because you're probably a lousy piece of s**t", he said. He added in a later post: "Parenting isn't always about being a friend it's about leading them into the future".
Another wrote: "It's great to see a parent who's NOT afraid to correct/punish their child when needed & deserved".
"I'm sure someone will get all bent out of shape, "Oh my God, child abuse!"
