Nintendo Switch might get a new system software update as it has been spotted by some fans that the update for the parental controls app for the Nintendo Switch now references to an upcoming firmware update that hasn't been released yet.
Other changes to Parental Controls have been implemented as well. In addition, captured videos in the Album will be restricted by Parental Controls depending on the Restricted Software setting and Software Rating Organization.
Additionally, with update version 5.0, digital purchases made via a PC or smartphone/tablet will begin downloading sooner than they have in the past. The default mode for entering a PIN on Parental controls hads also been modified. Nintendo has been hugely supportive of bringing independent releases to the Nintendo Switch console, and this partnership will mean even more wonderful games are released on the platform.
The free app lets parents easily monitor how much their child plays on Nintendo Switch, choose how long they can play for each day, and set restrictions to limit what they can access. Once the download is complete though, they need to manually install the update. The installation process could take minutes and the console will have to restart to complete the update.
YoYo Games have signed a deal with Nintendo to add Nintendo Switch support to their 2D game development engine, GameMaker Studio 2.
