Serena sets up showdown with sister

The 29th professional contest between the pair will take place in the first match of Monday's night session.

As well as her Aneres clothing line, Serena also helms the Signature Statement collection, a range of apparel and accessories, which is mainly sold on the Home Shopping Network (HSN).

In the past, Indian Wells - which is tennis' biggest tournament outside the majors - has had special significance for the sisters following an incident in 2001, when Venus and dad Richard were booed by spectators as they went to their seats for the Indian Wells final.

"This will be the 29th time the sisters have played each other in a Women's Tennis Association match and first since the final of last year's Australian Open, when Serena Williams was a 6-4, 6-4 victor".

Not only is Venus now more match fit - this is her 13th WTA event over the past 12 months, and Serena's first - but the earlier in the tournament they play each other, the more it has favoured Venus.

The news of her new beauty line comes just days after her first match (and win) after a 14-month break surrounding the birth of her first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian.

Now unseeded in Indian Wells, Serena has beaten her world No. 8-ranked sister 17 of the last 28 times. That's totally gone out of my mind. Serena won that, claiming her history-making 23rd Grand Slam win. In fact, it's the first time they've met before the Round of 16 since their very first head-to-head matchup more than 20 years ago.

"I still have a lot to give".

Serena Williams set up a mouth-watering third round showdown against her sister Venus with a straight-sets victory over Kiki Bertens here at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament.

"She's playing really well and just honing her game". There were moments literally when I'm in the hospital bed and I just think about that.

Still showing some rust from her long layoff, Serena hit just one ace and made 37 unforced errors to 32 for Bertens. "So I think that's helping me out, too'".
