Epic Games has rolled the latest Fortnite update off the production lines, bringing along a healthy dose of new content for both the Battle Royale and Save the World editions of the popular shooter. Of particular note is the addition of the Port-A-Fort in Battle Royale, weapon nerfs, a replay system to allow you to rewatch your favorites matches, and a new Save the World questline called "Into the Storm: Opening Act". No, that doesn't mean two teams of 50 players are up against a very unlucky duo, but version 2 will offer new tweaks to the old formula, such as two different Battle Buses, more loot, and a more aggressive storm.
Port-a-fort will be an epic level item drop and actually comes with quite a specific set of features.
Next, Replay Mode, which was originally shown off at GDC 2018, is also live on PC and console (sorry mobile players), complete with "a suite of cinematic settings [that means] you can now capture your most memorable moments, highlights and cinematics".
Also coming is a chat wheel that should let even the most non-verbal players help out their squad - even if the voice chat in the game is full of nice people.
This includes brand new dinosaur and pumpkin skins, as well as colourful new gliders and pickaxes.
People who switch between shotguns to up their rate of fire won't be happy with the new Fortnite patch.
Two teams will clash in the updated 50v50 Limited Time Mode.
