Olivier Giroud scored twice to help Chelsea beat Southampton 3-2 Saturday at St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton, England. "They must have great respect for the badge, they don't have to play for the coach", Conte added.

"I've been through some difficulties in my career, but I always try to come back stronger and it happened today", said Giroud.

Eight minutes later he had his second when a loose ball fell his way from a set-piece, but not before Willian had smartly found an open Eden Hazard in the box three minutes prior - Chelsea went on to hold their one-goal advantage until full-time.

Dusan Tadic and debutant Jan Bednarek put the hosts in command, but Giroud struck either side of Eden Hazard's equaliser to cut the gap on Liverpool and Tottenham in the fight for a top-four finish and Champions League football next season to seven points. We have six games in the league.

Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso was fortunate to remain on the field when his studs came down on the back of Shane Long's ankle, but referee Mike Dean took no action despite being close to the incident. Of course we want to at least finish ahead of Arsenic in the English charts, but why endanger our FA Cup hopes with overuse of the same players this Thursday and Sunday? - Mark Hughes is only the second manager to lose three Premier League games against the same opponent in a single season after Graeme Souness vs Arsenal in 2004-05. They have to play for the club, for our fans, and to show great character like they did in this game. If I play good, but we are not winning, I am not happy. I didn't tell him we would score, but our first goal put us in that position.

"I saw the right will to comeback and find a hard result because when you are 2-0 down it is not simple".

Giroud started the comeback with a brilliant header in the 70th minute and scored the victor just eight minutes later.

The Blues are said to have already sounded out former boss Luis Enrique over the hotseat, but the Spaniard's inability to make a quick decision - and amid reported rival interest from PSG - means Chelsea are now looking at alternatives.

"I think now is not the right moment to speak about one player, or about specifically one situation".

Less than 10 minutes later, Conte's men were in the lead through a strike from Hazard and another from Giroud, earning a much-needed three points.
