Cleveland Browns: Josh Allen wants No. 1 pressure on him

For Cardinals fans, it might be the most exciting draft in quite some time.

The 2018 NFL Draft is scheduled to begin on Thursday night, and there are quite a few questions about what will happen in the early stages.

This is a bit of reach, but the Bears desperately need to protect their young quarterback Mitch Trubisky before addressing other needs. They've signed starter Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon as depth, yet there's no better way to find a franchise signal-caller than via the draft. I would much rather have Baker Mayfield, Josh Rosen or Lamar Jackson.

The Browns are expected to use the No. 1 pick on a quarterback when the draft gets underway Thursday at AT&T Stadium. "I think like everything else, the quarterback is such an important position there's always going to be a focal point of, hey, this may be a position of interest, obviously for us, but we'll see how it plays itself out". Probably. The Browns aren't in a rush. If the Browns take either, it's a fine choice. If they would trade with the Bills?

The first round of the National Football League draft often dictates the immediate trajectory of a team. They made a blockbuster trade with the Indianapolis Colts to move up from the No. 6 overall pick to No. 3.

Do they need a QB? Yes. This is one of the most confusing years to figure out which teams are going to do what in the first round. 12 and 22, or packaging them in a trade to move up in the order. Can you believe what you hear or is John Dorsey manipulating the press to send them into a disoriented frenzy? Elway has also publicly listed the pick for sale. "We are thrilled to offer the first ever local broadcast of the NFL Draft", said Joan Barrett, President and General Manager of KDVR. My stance on quarterbacks is pretty simple: if they aren't visibly great in college then don't draft them.

And yet, he would still deem this draft a success without selecting one. Buffalo lacks an established receiver beyond Kelvin Benjamin, and has yet to identify a starting middle linebacker after losing Preston Brown in free agency. It's likely he's more of a bridge option after trading Taylor.

Some might say they gave up a lot but in the grand scheme of things, you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Nope. The Packers are well-stocked with Aaron Rodgers, Brett Hundley and Kizer on the roster. Teams like the Bills (drafting 12th) and Cardinals (drafting 15th) are in the market for a quarterback this year and could trade up to get one.

- Even if only three quarterbacks are off the board, do they like the next QB on their big board?

Deciding whether to take the leap of faith on a boom-or-bust player is a significant challenge for general managers and here we look at the players in this year's class who present such a dilemma.
