Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg both picked up injuries in the incident and neither will be allowed to compete at UFC 223 on Saturday night.
The UFC said in a statement: "NYPD was immediately alerted and is now in the process of investigating the situation". This came after the incident at the Barclays Center in which "The Notorious" threw a dolly through the window of the red corner fighters' bus.
The UFC star appeared in court alongside fellow fighter Cian Cowley, who was released on a 25,000 dollar bail for the same offence. White says the attack was not "staged" and was probably the dumbest thing McGregor could have ever done. I don't think too serious. It was justified to him.
White said he's been in touch via text message with McGregor, who told him he's sorry innocent people got hurt but isn't apologetic about addressing the beef.
It also shows footage from inside the bus, where blood was seen on Chiesa's face and a UFC official calling UFC president Dana White about the case.
McGregor last fought famed boxer Floyd Mayweather in a much-hyped boxing bout in August.
He profanely responded on Twitter and wrote, "You'll strip me of nothing". He is the only fighter to hold championship belts in two different weight divisions at the same time.
McGregor has a rivalry with Nurmagomedov that goes back to UFC 205 in 2016.
McGregor answered, "Yes, your honor", when the judge asked whether he understood orders to stay away from the alleged victims in the case.
White said he will be making a decision on McGregor's future with the promotion after this weekend's action.
McGregor was apparently acting in retaliation after one of the fighters on the bus, Khabib Nurmagomedov, had confronted UFC fighter and McGregor's friend and teammate Artem Lobov, earlier this week.
