According to the report, the incident occurred at 6 a.m. ET after Worley "became combative with police".
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley has been tasered and arrested by police after he became combative with officers after being found passed out in his auto. Worley was acquired in exchange for wide receiver Torrey Smith in a trade with Carolina last month.
Officers responded to Broad and Pattison Sunday morning, where they found Worley asleep in his vehicle on the highway.
The Eagles said in a statement: 'We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning'. Players are set to report to the NovaCare complex for the start of offseason workouts on Monday.
The Panthers originally selected Worley in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the same draft where they selected James Bradberry in the second round following the loss of Josh Norman in free agency.
