Drake announces release date for upcoming album

After practically living in the studio and continuously teasing a new project, its Drizzy season is finally approaching as he took to Instagram today (April 16th) to announce the new project which is to be titled "Scorpion". In the pic, Aubrey stands with his back to the camera.

As if to make his first post clear, he shared another photo of a jacket with "Scorpion" and "June Twenty Eighteen" written on it. Both are captioned "JUNE 2018", which is redundant in the case of the former, but who am I to critique Drake? So it looks like we have about two months before we get the new project from the OVO head honcho.

Drake is yet comment on the official meaning behind his "Scorpio" album title. What is presumed to be the lead single off the project, "God's Plan" is now one of the hottest songs in the country. With this, the Lauryn Hill sampled smash becomes the 30th song to debut at the top spot of the Hot 100 chart.

His song "God's Plan" topped the United States singles chart for 11 weeks - until being dethroned Monday by another of his songs, "Nice for What". Drake is only the 13th artist in history to replace himself at #1.
