Google is all set to launch its latest series of smart speakers, Google Home and Home Mini, in India.

Google launched its smart speaker Google Home in 2016 to help its users set up a "smart home". The upcoming speakers will surely give a stiff competition to Amazon Echo lineup including Echo Dot, Echo and Echo Plus speakers that have recently begun selling in the country.

You can give voice commands to these smart speakers to play your favorite music (through Play Music, Gaana or Saavn), get the latest information on weather forecast, get instructions on cooking Lasagna (or nearly any other recipe), get the latest news from leading media publications of the country, and, even get a rundown of your schedule. Google Home Max isn't being launched in India. It uses dual band wifi supports dual band Wi-Fi.HE-AAC, LC-AAC+, MP3, Vorbis, WAV (LPCM), FLAC. You can use it by connecting the AC power adapter to a wall socket.

Complementing the Google Home is the Home Mini speaker. It can project 360-degree sound, but you can also connect it to any Cast-enabled speaker wirelessly.

Google Home, the device which understands Indian accents, would also respond in unique Indian contexts, according to Rishi Chandra, Vice President of Product Management, Google. The range of audio formats supported include HE-AAC, LC-AAC+, MP3, Vorbis, WAV (LPCM) and FLAC. The Home features a touch interface on the top, with a mic mute button on the side. Google Home Mini is available in Chalk and Charcoal fabric colours. It's astonishing how well the product integrates with Google's services - if you're tied into the Google ecosystem, the Google Home has plenty to offer.

"These products have been customised to match the needs of the Indian consumer". Likewise, the Google Home Mini takes on the Amazon Echo Dot, and features a Rs. 4,499 price - the same as the Echo Dot. The large Google Home is priced at Rs. 9,999, same as the Amazon Echo. The smart speakers will be available across both online (Flipkart Exclusive) and offline retail channels. The company will also offer 6 months free subscriptions to Play Music service for all buyers. Users purchasing on Flipkart will receive a free JioFi router device, and the users looking to get the device from Reliance Digital Stores or MyJio application will get free JioFi router with 800GB of free 4G data worth Rs 2,499.

Google Home looks like an ordinary speaker at the first glance, but what lies within is an absolute treasure. Google bundled the Home review unit with a smart Philip Hue bulb, which can be controlled by Home.
