Gronkowski buys into horse named Gronk

There will be at least one Gronkowski at the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) next month-and most likely another now that now that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has purchased a stake in his namesake racehorse. "THE KENTUCKY DERBY-BOUND RACEHORSE", Gronkowski tweeted, along with a shot of the horse.

"I've never dealt with horses", Gronkowski said, speaking with the WSJ. After coming into the horse's possession, the racing investment fund placed the steed in trainer Jeremy Noseda's capable hands and gave him exclusive naming rights.

Gronkowski is still reportedly mulling his National Football League future. Gronkowski (the horse) is pointing to the Kentucky Derby off a win in the Burradon at Newcastle as part of the European Road to the Kentucky Derby. He has yet to report to the Patriots' voluntary workouts. Gronkowski has not reported to the Patriot's offseason program and has previously hinted at a retirement from the game he loves.

"It will be a new experience", Gronkowski said. "Hopefully I can get a ride on the horse".

"That's what I want to know", the New England player explained. "Hopefully I can get a ride on the horse".

Gronkowski (the horse) has won all three professional races it has entered.

"The investment group told The Journal they chose to name the horse Rob Gronkowski because he's "big and strong" just like the 6'6", 265-pound Pro Bowl tight end. There are a lot worse things that he could be doing with his free time than becoming a partial owner of a racehorse.
