This is definitely a matter of huge success for Sri Reddy whose allegations and protests against Tollywood's casting couch and sexual harrasment of women started with a seminude dharna on Saturday in front of the MMA office in Hyderabad.

Sri Reddy has been alleging that a number of people in the film industry demanded sexual favours in return for promising roles, which never materialised. This change in decision comes after the National Human Rights Commission slapped notices on the Telangana government and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry regarding the sexual exploitation fo Telugu actresses.

She has questioned the Telangana government and the Movie Artists' Association (MAA) on the absence of a Committee Against Sexual Harassment. In the latest Press Meet held yesterday, MAA President has corrected his version saying that all the members of MAA will extend support to Sri Reddy and help to make movies with her. Shivaji Raja further said Members of the film body were upset with the seminude protest staged by Sri Reddy. The Commission also opposed the police case and said that this appears to muzzle the voice of whistle blower both from MAA and the State authorities. The Producers' Council president has also stated that the Committee against Sexual Harassment would be set up in four days.

Tollywood artiste Apoorva said Telugu film industry should be cleansed of sexual abusers.

She also alleged that Abhi Ram is a sex-maniac and that he exploited many women who came to their studio seeking film offers. Finally MAA has lifted ban on actress Sri Reddy. However on Thursday he said, "Sri Reddy, you are welcome in to the film industry and all artistes will cooperate and act with you". Post her dramatic act, the Movie Artists Association held a meeting wherein they had chose to reject her membership application and also threatened those actors who would work with her.
