While the Reds ousted City from Champions League, and overall looked fantastic in the head to head, they're still a whopping 17 points behind them in the table, with just a few games remaining. That is why it is always possible that it is closer.

However, West Brom have picked up four points from their last two Premier League games, including an unexpected victory at Old Trafford thanks to a Jay Rodriguez goal to nil.

"Before, when I was second to (Harry) Kane, I had a chance to score, I gave it to Bobby (Roberto Firmino) and he scored".

The Egypt teammates will come up against each other on Saturday at the Hawthorns. He has played a vital part in making sure that they are set for another top four finish in the Premier League.

In the two games under the stewardship of caretaker boss Darren Moore, the former Baggies defender has rounded his charges and instilled a sense of objective back into their play, and the genuine belief that there is still hope of an unlikely, Phoenix from the Ashes-type houdini act of escapology.

Salah is only four goals shy of breaking the all-time Premier League record of 34 goals scored in a season - which is now held by England heroes Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer.

The Egyptian star scored 40 goals this season and provided 13 assists in 45 games in all the competitions.

West Brom now have a few injury worries with Nacer Chadli, Jonny Evans and Hal Robson-Kanu all doubts for the game, having all missed the last two games because of injury.

Midfielder Nacer Chadli will have to pass a late fitness test, but Gareth Barry and James Morrison are both absent having been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

West Brom's win over Manchester United last week was a major surprise, and may give them a massive boost of confidence and self belief going into the final weeks of the season. Joe Gomez returned to training this week, but it is still to be seen if he will be available for selection. The Estonian centre-back has been pushed further to the outskirts of Liverpool's first team with the arrival of Virgil van Dijk, not starting any Premier League games in central defence for the Reds since the Dutch defender signed in January.
