Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane: 'Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema not feeling down'

The 28-year-old is tipped to face the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu exit door this summer, with Zinedine Zidane seemingly losing faith in the Welshman and willing to offer him up to fellow European giants if he can gain something in return.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Raphael Varane were also spared the trip to La Rosaleda.

"I do not think their future is in danger here", Zidane insisted. "They do not make a sad impression on me".

Bale has won three Champions League trophies during his five-year stay in Spain and will hope for another title this season with Real Madrid facing Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. The 33-year-old scored 118 goals, recorded a further 67 assists and is among the best to ever play in the Premier League. But with Real Madrid having conceded the most goals among the top four teams in the La Liga, the Costa Rican has come under criticism.

Zidane has prefered Benzema as a partner for Ronaldo up front this season but the Frenchman has managed only one goal in his last nine games.

Chelsea have reportedly assured Asensio they will double his current €4.5m salary and are prepared to go as high as €150m to bring him to London. "He has to score goals of course, he knows that - he knows he can do other things but he has to score goals. If he keeps working, I'm sure in a short time he will be scoring again".

Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy claimed that Real Madrid are the only team capable of stopping Klopp's juggernaut.
