Sega Ages coming to Nintendo Switch

15 games were announced to be coming to the service, with only Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, and Thunder Force IV being named specifically.

The Sega Genesis console was a massive global success. The name "Mega Drive Mini" has been used to describe the device, but it might be renamed before it goes on sale. In the past, Studio M2 has worked on other re-releases, including the 3D Classics Collection for the Nintendo 3DS, as well as numerous Sega Ages titles on the PlayStation 2 - which weren't just ports, but full-on remakes.

In addition, the NES and SNES mini will have a new friend, as a cute, downsized version of the Mega Drive was also announced. If this announcement seems strangely familiar, that's because AtGames has already gifted fans with a classic plug and play system boasting a plethora of games.

Recently, we came reported that Sega will be working with the Heavy Rain lead designer Caroline Marchal on new narrative games. No details have been released on price, features or, most importantly, which games will be included on the cute device.

You can see the full list of games in the gallery below. A few moments ago the arrival of Shenmue I & II to PS4, Xbox One, PC was confirmed and now we have another surprise, as the company announced that a Mega Drive Mini retro console is on its way.
