Tina Fey Made Everyone Cry on Fallon Last Night

Comedian Jimmy Fallon fought back tears on Thursday, April 19, as he paid a special tribute to his longtime pal Tina Fey for the huge impact she has had on his life. For Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Fey gave Ellie Kemper (The Office) a large platform for her quirky comedy, and she just may be the ideal candidate for a 30 Rock spinoff. "I must be so thirsty for internet attention [that] I was like, 'Maybe'".

From starring on Saturday Night Live and writing Mean Girls to creating 30 Rock and penning her best-selling books, the comedic legend has proven that hard work and believing in one's self can make dreams come true. Then, in perhaps the greatest distillation of Tina Fey's sensibilities (and reputation), she attempts to burst forth from behind the curtain only to legitimately fall, crawl over to an overwhelmed young woman, then proceed to get her name wrong roughly a half dozen times.

"We're trying to think of a way to do something".

30 Rock ran for seven seasons from 2006 to 2013, and was loosely based on Fey's experiences working on SNL. "And I would be thrilled if the trend continued over into 30 Rock". He gets up, and, standing front of the Mean Girls poster (thank you for addressing my note, Jimmy), issues a tearful and heartfelt thank you of his own.

Tina Fey is one of the funniest women out there and inspires many men and women, including myself. Fey told Jimmy Fallon, as you can see below, that when asked about the possible revival at a recent press event she said "maybe" but added as a caveat, "A little bit of that is on me".
