Utah's Donovan Mitchell Cleared To Play In Game 2

Plot twist, Jazz fans! His status is uncertain for Game 2 of the Western Conference playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. But don't take our word for it.

On Wednesday, the former Louisville standout was at it again before Utah's game against Portland.

An MRI on Donovan Mitchell's injured left foot came back negative late Monday (AEDT) as the Jazz rookie has been cleared for Game 2 against the Thunder, ESPN.com reported .

The Big 3 has been able to play up to tough challenges all season with two wins against both the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, and that trend was no different in the game on Sunday against the Jazz. Midway through the fourth quarter, the Jazz's training staff appeared ready to remove him from the game entirely, but Mitchell was having none of it.

Mitchell finished his playoff debut with a team-high 27 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the field and 3-of-7 from deep in 35 minutes.

Donovan Mitchell is not about to let injury kill his vibe during his first career trip to the postseason. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.
