The Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu starrer October saw a very mediocre start on Friday with a collection of only 5 crores on Day 1. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, October has collected Rs 12.51 crore in two days. Most of his previous outings have been box office successes but it remains to be seen if his unusual combination with director Shoojit Sircar will be able to generate a similar buzz. The film that experienced a slow start on Friday, April 13, the day it hit screens, has shown almost 48.21 % growth on Day 2. October raked in Rs 7.47 crore on its day 2, taking its collection to over Rs 12 crore. The movie is getting great appreciation from the critics and everybody is saying a good word of mouth for it. "India biz." The film has received a phenomenal response from film critics and audience. Should continue the upward trend on Sun.
Varun Dhawan with his each and every film has done nothing but expanding his fan base.
Varun is certainly one of the biggest star in the country right now but the collections of any film is also dependent on the nature of it. "For "October", that was one of the main reasons why I chose Banita for the lead role opposite Varun". "Not a love story, but it is a story about love".
Mumbai: Varun Dhawan starrer "October" has become the talk of town with how Shoojit Sircar has showed a very handsome story of love. Although most of the audience are talking positively about the film, the only drawback that many pointed out was the slow narration. Ever since he made his debut with Student of the Year in 2012, Varun Dhawan has not seen a box office failure per se. Varun has not delivered one single flop in his entire career so far and he should not care about that with an unbelievable film like October that touches hearts.
