It was previously noted that Curry was targeting a return in the conference semifinals.

The Warriors announced that Curry will participate in "modified" team practices over the weekend, with the expectation that he'll continue to intensify his activity level heading into next week. As of now, it looks like Golden State will host the New Orleans Pelicans, who have dominated the Portland Trail Blazers en route to a 3-0 series lead.

Although the Warriors have plenty of firepower without Curry in the lineup, they'll face a tougher test in the second round than the Kawhi-less Spurs.

The Warriors have won their first three games against the Spurs in Round 1 of the playoffs. That means Curry will likely miss a few games of the next round, assuming the Warriors advance. Curry's knee shows significant progress next week. Game 4 is on Sunday.

Curry has been with the Warriors' on their five-day trip in San Antonio both to advance with his rehab and to be with the team.

Curry averaged 26.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists while shooting at a 50 percent mark from the field. He has spent the past week completing various shooting, running and lateral movement drills.
