Actress' unborn baby dies after Park Slope crash

The unborn baby of mom Ruthie Ann Miles died from injuries from the crash, according to Miles' lawyer.

Tony victor Ruthie Ann Miles and her husband, Jonathan Blumenstein, whose four-year-old daughter, Abigail Blumenstein, was killed in a vehicle crash in March, have lost the unborn baby Miles was carrying during the tragic accident, according to The Daily News.

A statement from Ruthie and her husband Jonathan Blumenstein on the fundraiser read: 'We wish we could personally thank each and every person in this great community. "The pain suffered by Ruthie and Jonathan is almost impossible to fathom", said lawyer Ben Rubinowitz.

Miles' daughter was killed in a Brooklyn crosswalk, along with the son of the woman, Lauren Lew, who was walking alongside the duo.

Bruns was charged earlier this month with second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment, third-degree assault and related charges.

Her license was suspended just two days before the crash and she reportedly got eight tickets from red-light and speed cameras beforehand.

"At the time of the crash Ruthie was pregnant and was severely injured", they said.

The musical theatre performer, who won a Tony Award for her role in The King And I, was 39 weeks pregnant with partner, Jonathan Blumenstein on Friday, when she lost her baby.

The Staten Island resident told emergency responders after the crash that she had suffered a seizure, which caused her to accelerate through the red light. Her jail time may be up to 15 years, though this tragedy will last a lifetime for the grieving parents of both young children.
