Now, with the attachment of directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (FX's Snowfall), Sony Pictures has green-lit the release for the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday weekend of 2020.
"Bad Boys II" was released on July 18th, 2003 and fans have been clamoring for a third film ever since. You'd think Dr. Dre was the man behind the franchise or something.
As reported yesterday by ScreenRant, Miami PD detectives Burnett and Lowrey will ride together once more as Bad Boys For Life (aka Bad Boys III) has been slated to be released on January 17th, 2020. Let us know in the comments!
According to reports, she's set to star in a TV spin-off series of Bad Boys, returning as Sydney Burnett which she played in the second installment of the film franchise.
A sequel to Bad Boys 2 has been in the works for over a decade. The first two films collectively scored $414.7 million worldwide, respectively. Since Bay has moved on to making cars transform and turning turtles into ninjas, and both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have matured, there has been little hope that a Bad Boys 3 would come to fruition.
Sony also announced that the Mr. Rogers drama, "You Are My Friend", will be released on October 18, 2019, with Tom Hanks playing Fred Rogers.
The film is inspired by a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and award-winning journalist Tom Junod. Diary of a Teenage Girl director Marielle Heller is helming the project, reported Variety.
