Since the Premier League's inception in 1992, Burnley have managed to make only 5 appearances in the tournament and needless to say, majority haven't been that memorable.

Liverpool warmed up for this month's Champions League final against Real Madrid with goals from Salah - who won the Golden Boot as league top scorer - Dejan Lovren, Dominic Solanke and Andrew Robertson sealing a place in next season's Champions League.

The Premier League splits the money raised from domestic and overseas TV deals equally between the 20 teams, meaning that this season's last-place team, Stoke, earned almost 100 million pounds ($135 million) in prize payments from the 2017-18 campaign.

On Wednesday, City overtook the record for most goals scored in a single Premier League when they beat Brighton 3-1, wiping Chelsea's tally of 103 goals they set in the 2009-10 season from the history books.

The Citizens became the first team in English history to reach 100 points thanks to Gabriel Jesus' injury-time victor on Sunday.

"A man who has added LMA and Premier League Manager of the Year awards to his roll of honour told Monday Night Football: "[We will sign] one or two more, no more.

Man City put a fitting cap on their imperious season by sending yet another record tumbling in their final outing.

"100 points is a lot; 50 points at home, 50 points away so it means how stable, how good we were all the season".

The season ended on an emotional note as we bid farewell to one of the greatest managers to have graced the Premier League - Arsene Wenger.

"It's unheard of for that many teams to all be struggling to get 40 points". United was already assured of second place before its 1-0 win over Watford, in Michael Carrick's final game for the club. By the time City secured the League, they had also secured their safety. An astonishing 100 points acquired and 106 goals scored.

Swansea joined relegated clubs Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion, who were also beaten 2-0 by 11th-placed Crystal Palace on Sunday.
