But Frontier said it will monitor the routes to determine whether to extend them to year-round service.
The San Antonio service, the first nonstop service between the two cities, begins August 15, according to a news release from the city.
The flight will leave San Antonio at 7 a.m. and land at 9:15 a.m.
The reveal marks the largest air service announcement in San Antonio Airport history. That service, initially announced to run four times per week, was cut back to twice a week before it began. "San Antonio is one of our top unserved destinations and connecting our two great cities represents another "win" for MEM and its passengers". Those routes, and several others, were eliminated previous year after other airlines - chiefly United - cut fares to compete.
Frontier also offers nonstop flights from Omaha to Austin, Texas; Denver; Las Vegas; Orlando, Florida; and Philadelphia.
