The Assistant is now also able to have a back-and-forth conversation without users having to repeat the "Hey, Google" wake phrase before each command, and will also be able to make multiple requests at once for the first time. Similarly in Google Photos, it will now be easier to share a photo instantly via smart, in-line suggestions.

If I looked closely - ideally when the auto was stopped or parked - additional metadata could tell me if a particular piece of music or an audiobook had already been downloaded, so that I would know that playback would continue regardless of how strong my cellular connectivity was. Lens lets you just point your camera and get answers about everything from that building in front of you.to the concert poster you passed.to that lamp you liked in the store window.

Google also debuted a new way for developers to promote their voice app, called Action Links.

Google, in fact, is closer to being that one company that we can't afford to lose. You can get to this all-apps view by swiping up from any screen on your phone. During its I/O developers conference this week, Google promised cheaper Android TV hardware, a smoother path to market for device makers, better support for app developers, and a general recommitment to getting Android TV onto more streaming devices.
