No Man's Sky is finally set to introduce full multiplayer in July

Additionally, developer Hello Games shared the new cover art for the title, which will be the above picture, but obviously on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC cases. This was revealed by Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray during the Inside Xbox stream.

For more social interactivity, the update also adds a new sharing feature that lets you trim your recent game captures directly from the Guide to enable direct posting to Twitter.

No Man's Sky, the space-exploration sim that promised a near-infinite number of planets to hop around, finally has a release date for Xbox One. In addition to the XBox One launch, Murray also confirmed that "a full multiplayer experience" is coming too. This doesn't allow you to take advantage of Discord's voice and text chat services, but it does allow Discord to show your Xbox One activity to your friends. According to Murray, "It's the kind of game that myself and a lot of other people have always wanted to play in a multiplayer world".

No Man's Sky is getting a big update this summer which will launch on July 24th alongside its debut on Xbox One. Race exocraft across weird alien terrains, creating race tracks and trails to share online'.

It sounds like another meaty update for the game, but will players who have had their fill of No Man's Sky go back for multiplayer?
