TECH LINEUP - Unlike Monday's opening round, birdies were much harder to come by Tuesday for the Yellow Jackets, who started by posting three birdies on the opening hole, but only finished at 5-under-par. The Augusta University men's golf team is in eighth place and five shots out of fifth place after 36 holes of play at the 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

Furr had nine birdies, including six in the final nine holes, en route to setting the program's lowest 18-hole score in an NCAA Championship event. It was just one stroke behind his season-best 63 during the second-round at the Southeastern Conference Championships three weeks ago.

Seniors Michael Sharp and Charlie Green and sophomore Andrew Walker all recorded 6-over-par 77s in the opening round and are tied for 51st.

After bogeys at 3 and 4, Tyler Strafaci (sophomore Davie, Fla.) got both shots back with birdies at 7 and 8, and added an eagle at 15 and a birdie at 16.
