President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his intention to seek re-election in the 2019 presidential election.

Adewole stressed that Yusuf did not travel to Germany for medical treatment.

But Ologbondiyan insisted that the presidency was only attempting to hoodwink Nigerians by claiming that the statement was made at Chatham House.

Speaking on Hard Copy, a Channels Television programme on Friday, the minister said Buhari directed that his son should be treated in Nigeria even when people were clamouring that he should be flown overseas. He had his surgery in Nigeria. "I'm alright", he said.

President Muhammadu Buhari's son, Yusuf, broke one of his limbs in a bike accident on Boxing Day in Abuja, December previous year.

"President is back in Abuja".

President Buhari had to cut short his medical trip to the United Kingdom to arrive on Friday 11th May, instead of his initial arrival date of Saturday, May 12th.

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Muhammad Bello and a representative of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, were at the airport to receive him.
