Top scorer of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Junior Lokosa, got his first call-up to the national team as Super Eagles' Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, released a 30-man provisional list for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

26-year-old Nwankwo gets his maiden worldwide call-up thanks to his fine form in the Italian topflight where he has scored six goals in his last seven outings.

Lokosa, forward for Nigerian Premier League side Kano Pillars, has enjoyed a great season scoring 18 goals in 20 matches, while the 26-year-old Nwankwo, attacker for Serie A's Crotone, will get his maiden worldwide call-up due to his fine form in the Italian top flight, scoring six goals in seven matches.

The Super Eagles are heading to their sixth World Cup, having taken part in the 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010 and 2014 editions - with a place in the Round of 16 their best performance ever.

Other forwards that made the list include: Moses Simon, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Dele Ajiboye has been a capable cover for Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the CHAN Eagles and central defender Eze shone at the last CHAN in Morocco to earn a transfer to Bulgaria.

The notable omissions include: Brown Ideye, Junior Ajayi, Henry Onyekuru and Anthony Nwakaeme.
