Next week, on May 16th, an update will be pushed out to all versions of Battlefront II that will add a new game mode called Hero Showdown, the Jabba's Palace location, new skins for Leia and Lando, Starfighter content for Arcade, a streamlined menu system with a new visual look, and new milestones to unlock. Starting next week on 16th May, DICE have now announced the first wave of content, but it's left the game's fans miffed at reused content from the 2015 game, not addressing long-standing complaints, and a lack of clarity over what else is happening in the season for fear of film spoilers. To celebrate the release, Alden Ehrenreich stopped by Jimmy Kimmel last night to discuss all things Han Solo including getting Harrison Ford's blessing, speaking Shyriiwook and dealing with the new found fame!
As if they were blasting into hyperspace, the jerseys show the motion of flying through the stars, and feature Chewbacca and Han Solo's spaceship shooting across the front, just under the Aces logo. Content related to Solo: A Star Wars Story is slated for for June.
Jabba's Palace is joining the maps in Star Wars Battlefront II, and will be available in both Heroes vs. Villains, Blast, and Arcade modes. EA says this game type will require players to "bring out their wits and tactics", as they will have to pick a new duo to take into battle after each round.
Starfighter Custom Arcade - This custom arcade mode was heavily requested by fans as a way to practice piloting skills across all eras and spaceships. Hopefully the Han Solo content will be enough to bring players back.
