That means it's been nearly two years since Samsung's flagship smartwatch has had a refresh. Considering the Galaxy Note 9 is shaping up to be another somewhat boring update just like the Galaxy S9 and S9+, I suppose new color choices can only help. However, the review was in 2016, when Samsung launched the watch, so we are overdue for some new Gear action.

Samsung Gear S4 - Leaked photos, concept images, and renders Sun, February 18, 2018 SAMSUNG is believed to be hard at work on the successor to its hugely-impressive Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier smartwatch. This time around, Samsung is allegedly going to offer three different choices, adding gold to silver and black options. The S3's battery has 380mAh of power, while the alleged power capability of the S4 will be 470mAh.

A Samsung spokesperson defended the practice in a statement to ABC News as strictly following federal guidelines put in place to protect the public with handling and shipping potentially risky or hazardous materials. Samsung may be preparing to debut the tech on the Galaxy S10 - rumoured to be announced in March 2019 - so there's a chance that could be its first all-screen smartphone, as corroborated by recent reports. The possible launch date has been reiterated in a new report out of South Korea which claims that the Galaxy Note 9 announcement will indeed take place on August 9 at a special event in NY. We've already seen the Vivo NEX phone that manages to have a body that's nothing but screen thanks to some tricky camera mechanisms and displays that can emit sound on their own, and it looks like Samsung be the next company to take a stab at that kind of thing.

That's all AllAboutSamsung had to reveal about the new Note 9, but it's not like we expect that many surprises from the new Note.
