Following a rumored meeting with head coach Gregg Popovich and apparently former franchise star Tim Duncan, forward Kawhi Leonard hasn't been able to hash out his differences with the organization, now likely seeking a trade.
The development is the latest in the Spurs-Leonard saga, which saw disagreements over how to handle Leonard's injury drive a wedge between the two sides.
Yahoo Sports" Shams Charania reports Leonard "has grown uncomfortable with the Spurs and is ready for move'. The 26-year-old was reportedly "distant" and "disconnected" from the team during his rehab, which sparked speculation Leonard was considering leaving San Antonio.
Leonard was limited to nine games this season due to a chronic quad injury.
Leonard was not with the team toward the end of the season and through the playoffs, instead working out in New York City, though some Spurs staff members were reportedly with him. Leonard is eligible for a supermax contract extension this offseason that he can only sign with the Spurs.
