The Vivo NEX comes in three variants with the two higher-end models powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with an Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB RAM. Vivo ditched the standard earpiece in lieu of Screen SoundCasting Technology, which turns the entire screen into a speaker, this is similar to the technology found in bone conducting earphones. But best/worst/most absurdly of all (depending on your predisposition), the 8MP selfie cam pops up from the phone whenever you need it.

The reason the Vivo Nex should be envied is because of its design. With our relentless pursuit of true innovation, Vivo explores the unknown, tackles new challenges and dares the world to imagine a different future for smartphone user experience.

The display on the Vivo Nex is a 6.59-inch FHD+ 19.3:9 Super AMOLED display and most of the bezel is located on the lower lip of the phone with a size of just 5.08 mm, the side bezels are 1.71mm.

The smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner, pop up selfie camera and over 90% screen to body ratio is now official. The latter is a pared-down version of the premium handset with a Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of ROM. NEX S packs 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. Dual-camera module combines with a 12-megapikselnym sensor and a maximum aperture of f/1.8, and also a module with 5-megapikselnym sensor. However, the highlight of the device is the 8-megapixel pop-up selfie camera which reveals itself when you activate the front camera on the camera app.

Vivo Nex is the same smartphone that the company showcased as a concept at MWC 2018 earlier this year. It comes with 256GB of internal storage and a heavy-duty 4,000mAh battery. It's now made a decision to take the concept to market under the name Nex S and Nex A.

The Vivo Nex S 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,498 and the 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,998. Both the phones run on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch UI. Both the smartphones will be offered in diamond black and ruby red body shade when goes on sale.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Location.

Soon the NEX smartphone will be available only in China at the price of 9999 yuan (about $780), which is much cheaper than iPhone X, but more expensive than the flagship Xiaomi Mi 8.
