It is claimed that the Blues have offered Villa an impressive £30m to sign Grealish this summer.
The Birmingham-born schemer is open to staying at Villa Park for another season, despite their 1-0 defeat to Fulham in the Championship play-off final. It is understood that the North London giants have offered a grand total of £15 million for the rising star for Championship football.
Coupled with the revelation of Aston Villa's financial troubles and the club could be forced to offload the talented midfielder before they mount another promotion push next season. In fact, supporters are less than happy with Spurs' offer and, while it is common practice not to show your hand too early, Daniel Levy is surely running the risk of missing out on Grealish unless he raises his offer substantially.
The reason we ask is that the local media, the Chronicle Live, are reporting that, although the club rates the player highly, they won't be pursuing the possible acquisition of Jack Grealish.
The west Londoners are looking to revamp their squad after missing out on the top four but they clearly see Grealish as "one for the future" and a long-term investment rather than someone who'll make an immediate impact.
