Conte to leave Chelsea, Sarri to replace him

Sarri is the man who Chelsea have turned to, and they will hope he can bring the same style of football he played at Napoli, and with it, a return to Champions League football.

Fabregas mainly came off the bench for Chelsea as Conte claimed the Premier League title during his first season at the helm in 2016/17, but he enjoyed a more prominent role last term, starting 25 times in total in the top-flight.

Their relationship has appeared strained ever since Conte took over at Stamford Bridge as Matic and Kante were preferred by the Italian, and the player has since admitted that the appointment was probably the reason he didn't make it in Spain's Russian Federation 2018 squad.

But who is Sarri and what can Chelsea fans expect from him?

Former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is expected to be announced as Conte's replacement, though Chelsea are yet to officially confirm his departure. Eden Hazard is openly flirting with the prospect of moving to Real Madrid while Thibaut Courtois also interests the Spanish giants.

"Jorginho and Sarri together again?"

Conte's future with the Roman Abramovich-owned club has looked uncertain for months, however, with the West Londoners failing to qualify for the coming season's Champions League after finishing fifth in 2017-18. It's big relief for Chelsea team!'. Sarri could be joined by former Chelsea striker Gianfranco Zola as part of the backroom staff.

One player that Sarri hasn't worked with but who has been linked with a move to Chelsea is Russian star Alexandr Golovin off the back of an excellent European campaign last season followed by an exceptional World Cup for the hosts.

Chelsea has yet to make a signing during this offseason transfer period.

Sarri could be followed by midfielder Jorginho from Napoli, with Chelsea willing to pay £50m, plus £7m in bonuses, for the pair.
