This has been revealed via a new Save the World roadmap, Epic Games' original Fortnite game. Their appearance in the real world is probably part of a big, marketing campaign by Epic Games-but that's just speculation at this time.
Fortnite is not as old as other online multiplayer games with millions of players, such as World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, or World of Tanks, but it definitely managed to quickly gain a large following.
Since the launch, rifts have been spotted all over the map, and a few of the map's landmarks have disappeared through them.. Though it's lacking the huge dimensional crack that Epic Games used in the Fortnite teaser, you can still make out the clear similarities between the real-life mask and the teaser image.
Since Llamas were added to the game in March, the lovable "creature" has become a mascot for Fortnite.
But what does it all mean?!
And while a new update was predicted to help with the transition to Season 5, no such message has been shared by the development team yet.
Fortnite Battle Royale's Season 4 kicked off in May as meteors changed the face of the map significantly and a new theme was introduced. Season 5 is just around the corner with the current season coming to a close on July 12th and with it, the community will be getting its answers.
We most likely won't know for sure until season 4 has concluded, however, I don't think faith would be misplaced if one considered this image certainly relates to the recent happenings.
